Everyone has something different they want to do, a different way to spend their vacation, an activity they want to try, or something new they want to see. The men head for the golf courses, the teenagers take off for the beaches and the ladies head for the shops and spas. If it wasn't for one thing, one common denominator, one favorite pass time, families vacationing on the island might never see each other. That one thing; that glue that keeps everyone together is: eating! No matter what you like to do, or what you want to buy, find, or see, everyone has to eat and everyone enjoys a good meal "out". If there is one thing that there is no shortage of on Hilton Head, it is the opportunity to experience just about any type of dining experience imaginable.

Visitors can sample traditional southern and low country dishes, as well as cuisines from Italy, Germany, France, Mexico, Japan and Asia. You can dine as you watch the sunset over the marsh, or the ocean waves lap at the beach. Tables offer views of creeks, lagoons, marinas, the ocean and even fireworks, or you can board a boat and dine while you watch dolphins frolic and see the island from the ocean or sound. While enjoying epicurean delights, unusual and unique dishes and plan ole American standards, vacationers can enjoy live music, clowns, comedians and magicians. In many cases the entertainment is the food itself, as there are hibachi grills and numerous restaurants with "open" kitchens. If you're hoping to eat on a budget, there are happy hours and early bird specials at every turn. No matter what anyone in your group has planned, everyone can count on enjoying their favorite pass time here: The hungry will not go wanting on Hilton Head Island!
