The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina

The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina is an award winning and remarkable showcase for visual arts and professional performing artist, located in the heart of Hilton Head Island. The Center not only has a gallery for visual arts, but includes a center for learning as well. The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina focuses on all that is entertaining; always aiming at introducing and exploring new vistas. The Center produces musicals, comedies, dramas, and story telling as well as hosting visiting artists, performers, musicians, vocalists and puppeteers.

The Theater Series produces five plays or musicals each year from concept to finish. The Presentation Series offers pop, jazz, big band, blues choral, and features The Hallelujah Singers. The theater seats 350 in the main-stage house and has two smaller venues for youth and an experimental theater. The Visual Arts has exhibitions that showcase in the Walter Greer Gallery. The Gallery features everything from National exhibits to statewide art exchanges.

The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina also hosts cultural festivals and educational outreach programs such as the ArtsReach enrichment program, offered free to participating public and private schools in the Hilton Head areas. The education programs include field trips, lectures, workshops, and Artist-in-Education residencies for youth and learning. The Community Festivals Series is the community outreach program that offers various free outdoor festivals and concerts. The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina is certainly a "must do", whether you are visiting Hilton Head Island for just a few days, or the rest of your life.
