Burke's Beach
Burke's Beach is little more than just an access spot off of William Hilton parkway. Although there is a very limited amount of public parking, this is the perfect place to stop if you are cruising around the island on a bike, looking for a quite place to rest. The section of beach at this access point is relatively quiet and is also a great place to play fetch with your dog, frisbee with your friends, or collect seashells with your kids.
Be sure to check with the Hilton Head Area Chamber of Commerce, or Area Tourism board to ensure you are up to date with the current seasonal restrictions on pets, kite flying, fishing, and personal watercraft. There are no restrooms or concessions and no lifeguards, so come prepared and be cautious of the tide and weather when entering the water.
