The house began creating its own history more than two hundred years ago. The Cuthbert House Inn was originally constructed in 1790 by a successful family of cotton and indigo plantation owners. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Cuthbert house has been renovated and restored to it original antebellum state. The amenities at The Cuthbert House Inn include verandas overlooking Beaufort Bay, sunset refreshments, formal courtyard gardens, and of course breakfast! The rooms are decorated to fit the southern antebellum style and each one has spectacular views, private bathrooms, a mini refrigerator, and some have fireplaces or whirlpool tubs.
