Art League Gallery of Hilton Head
It is no secret that the Lowcountry, and Hilton Head in particular, is home to a thriving artist colony. The beauty of the landscape, the abundance of wildlife and the awe inspiring natural lighting attract artist to the area by the groves, and many just prefer not to leave. Just as the area attracts artist, it also attracts art lovers and collectors. Many perennial visitors spend large amounts of their vacation times perusing the islands galleries, looking for that special piece they need to go with a newly decorated room or a new piece of furniture. Some shop for gifts for other art lovers, and still others are looking to see what their favorite local artist has created for them this season.
The Art League of Hilton Head maintains a permanent Gallery a Pineland Station for the display and sale of work by their member artist. All mediums of art are represented at the gallery, which is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 until 6:00. A501 (c) 3, not-for-profit organization the sole purpose of the Art League of Hilton Head and its Gallery is to promote the work of local artist and bring nationally renowned artist and instructors to the island to work with lesser known local artist and students. Anyone searching for a truly original piece for a keepsake, a decoration or a gift, will leave the island with an incomplete experience if they do not visit the gallery.
